I'm really debating on using cloth diapers during the day with our little man. I know it is MUCH better for the environment and it would really save some money not having to buy a ton of diapers that you literally throw your money away on. I just don't know a lot about them. I have been online researching them a little this afternoon and it is all so complicated with all the different types of cloth diapers and the covers or the all in ones etc. Is there anyone that has used cloth diapers that could give me some advice? Is it worth it? Is it a huge PITA? Does it really save all that much money?

I used cloth diapers with my first child and it was definitely worth it. I bought cute covers with Velcro tabs (about 10-12) and about 9 dozen diapers to start. The upfront cost was kind of a pain, but definitely worth it over the long haul. They worked just as well as disposable ones. I used a diaper service for a few months while living in a metropolitan area, which was pretty pricey. Cloth are well worth it, hands down.
