Baby Boy Reeves

I had my regular check up today and my doctor is SO awesome...Jessica was with us at the appointment today and my doctor asked if she was with us on Monday to see the sonogram. I told her she wasn't and she was a little disappointed about it...so she said "Hang on and I'll see if our sonogram tech can fit you in!" Sooo...we got to see our little boy again today! We got some really cute pictures (well as cute as Skeletor can get anyway)!!!

Two days in a row!!!

I'm really hoping I don't jinx this but...I have gone two days in a row without throwing up! I've only taken a 1/2 pill before dinner both days but have gone the rest of the day without anything. I'm praying all of that is over now!!!!!!

17 weeks

Click here to learn about Baby Boy Reeves this week. We are super excited to be having a boy but we haven't even come close to finding names we both like and agree on. I told Kevin last night that we are just going to name him Baby Boy Reeves until he's old enough to pick his own name! I'll take a belly picture later today.

It's a.....

BOY!!!!!!

I started spotting so I called the doctor and she said to come in and get a sonogram done. We went in this morning and they checked the baby. He's doing great, heartbeat was in the 150's and he was about 6 oz. He looked like a little alien but he was still beautiful!

Update from doctor appt and this weekend...

Friday morning I had my regular appointment with my midwife, everything checked out just fine. The baby's heartbeat was in the 160's and sounded healthy as can be. I found out I've gained 6 lbs since I became pregnant and my doctor said that is right on track for healthy weight gain.

Saturday evening Kevin FINALLY came back home, he's been traveling almost non-stop for the past three weeks (training for his new job). We've seen him for a 1/2 day or a day here and there but not for any real length of time. Sunday we spent the entire day together and it was great. We all went to Deanna Rose in the morning, we picked out our pumpkins and played all the fun games they have. After the pumpkin patch we went back to Kevin's parents house to celebrate Kevin's birthday (a few days late due to traveling). It was a nice and relaxing day and I think we all enjoyed ourselves.

15 Weeks

Well there is no hiding this baby belly anymore...it is out there for all to see! Not much to report, I have an appointment with my midwife this Friday. Just a regular check up. The next appointment after this one we should be able to do a sonogram and find out if we are having a Samantha Capri or if we really need to get on top of this name thing and come up with a boy name we both love.
*For those of you with sound on your computers the song playing when you first log into our blog is where we got the idea for the name "Capri"
It is still touch and go with the whole vomiting/morning sickness situation. I've been taking 1/2 pill in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon, however in the last week I've added another 1/2 pill in the evening. It has been helping quite a bit, I'm not nearly as sick in the evenings like I have been. I'm scared to test the waters and see if that is because I'm getting out of the first trimester or if it is because of the extra medication. I guess we'll find out on Friday, either my doctor will prescribe me more medication or I'll be out and on my own!

Weekend...

This weekend was good, for starts on Thursday I was able to spend my birthday at the zoo with Jessica for her field trip. The weather was wonderful and we had a good time. After that we went to Kevin's parents for dinner. Of course I wasn't feeling super hot so I wasn't able to gorge myself on the yummy lasagna and Carmel apple pie but it still tasted darn good and I enjoyed what I had.

Friday we went to Manhattan with Kevin, he had his first show for the new company. We helped him set everything up and then went back to the hotel. We had planned to let Jess swim since it said online they had a pool....unfortunately the pool was an outdoor pool and had already been closed for the winter. So we went next door and had a FABULOUS dinner! Stuffed mushrooms that were to die for!!!
Saturday Jess and I took our time getting up and around since Kevin had to be at his show all day. We went to Sonic for breakfast (thankfully there was one right down the street from the hotel) and then on to the mall to find some maternity jeans. JCPenny was having a door buster sale and all their maternity clothes were 50% off! I used my birthday money and bought some new stuff!

Sunday morning Kevin had to leave for the week again, he is in training this week. Jess played outside ALL day yesterday and completely enjoyed herself. I cleaned up inside a little, read my book, watered my flowers and mowed the front yard. All in all it was a very relaxing day!

I hope everyone else had a great weekend as well!!!

Today is the first day of the 2nd Trimester!

1/3 of the way through! I had a talk with our new child this morning and told him/her that he/she was no longer allowed to make me sick. That all the books and all the experts have said that the "morning" sickness goes away after the first trimester, so I am no longer going to be sick. We'll see how well he/she listens.

Saturday

Our Saturday was pretty uneventful. Jessica had cheerleading clinic again in the morning for a few hours. After that we came home and sorted through all of Kevin's new goodies from his new job. He had to go clean out a storage shed the previous rep for the territory had, it was filled with all types of different toys. So yesterday afternoon we put up shelves in the garage and got all the toys sorted out. *side note* for those of you that didn't know, Kevin got a new job as a territory rep for an educational learning company so he sells toys and curriculum to schools and childcare facilities.
After we worked on the garage, Jessica and I tried to organize her bedroom a little more. Kevin got some cute kids chairs from the new company so we made a little living room/reading area under Jessica's loft bed. It gives her a lot more room and looks pretty cute. We finally got her hammock hung up yesterday as well, she's had it for 3 years and never got it hung up...as you can see she really likes it!

Cheerleading

Jessica is involved with two cheerleading programs right now, one through the high school and one through our Parks & Rec department. The high school program is very short, she had practice last Saturday and then performs at the high school football program tomorrow evening. Here are a few pictures of her practice last week:

The second program is the Parks and Rec program and here are a few pictures of her practices this week:

And last...here is a picture before school this morning....
